En Route to Kansas City

Great stage, sound and people over there in Des Moines, IA. We had a small but enthusiastic crowd, and we got to hang out on the town with some locals after the show.

We woke up this morning, had some made to order omelets, Schutte and Clouser argued over who has the nicer skinny jeans, and then we hit the road. We’re now on our way to the storied city of jazz and blues, Kansas City. I personally feel honored to be playing this music in the city where the great Charlie Parker developed as a young jazz musician.

We hit the Record Bar tonight at 8p. We fully expect to be inspired by the ghosts that will surround us. It will be a memorable show.


We packed up the 15 passenger van and hit the road this morning after kicking off the tour last night in Minneapolis at The Red Stag Supper Club. It’s a tight squeeze, but we’re comfy and rollin. (more…)
